UK Lottery Jackpot Worth £10.6M Nears Claim Deadline

A UK National Lottery Lotto jackpot worth £10,633,323 — approximately $14.2 million — remains unclaimed with just days left before the prize vanishes forever. The winning ticket was purchased at a National Lottery retailer in the London borough of Bexley for the October 4, 2025 draw, and the holder has until April 2, 2026, to come forward, according to Yahoo News Canada.

The six winning numbers drawn that night were 06, 08, 12, 33, 49, and 59, with a bonus number of 42. The draw was reportedly a quadruple rollover, which pushed the jackpot to its substantial total. Despite months of publicity and repeated appeals, no one has stepped forward to collect what GB News described as the largest National Lottery win recorded so far in 2026.

Lottery operator Allwyn has mounted an increasingly urgent campaign to find the mystery ticketholder. Officials launched a renewed search effort in Bexley using a digi-van and megaphone to spread the word across the South East London borough, as London Now reported. In February 2026, the organization even ran a Valentine’s Day-themed lonely hearts social media campaign in a creative attempt to locate the missing winner.

Kathy Garrett, a winners’ adviser at Allwyn, said the company wants “nothing more than to unite the winner with their life-changing prize.” She noted that prizes of this magnitude rarely go unclaimed, raising hopes that the ticketholder may still come forward before the deadline. Garrett also pointed out that if the ticket was a lucky dip — a randomly generated selection — the purchaser wouldn’t necessarily know their numbers, making it all the more important for anyone who bought a ticket in Bexley around that time to check carefully.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at Allwyn, echoed that plea. He urged players who may have bought a ticket in Bexley for the October 4 draw to search their pockets, wallets, and drawers, according to London Now. Because the winning ticket was purchased in-store rather than online, there is no automatic notification system to alert the holder — they must physically present the ticket to make a valid claim.

National Lottery winners have a 180-day window from the draw date to claim their prize. That clock started ticking on October 4, 2025, and it stops on April 2, 2026. If no valid claim is made by that date, the full £10,633,323 will be transferred to the National Lottery’s Good Causes fund, which supports charitable projects across the United Kingdom.

The Good Causes fund is a significant pillar of the National Lottery’s mission. The lottery raises around £32 million every week for charitable endeavors, and more than £52 billion has been raised for good causes since the lottery’s launch, according to London Now. While the unclaimed jackpot would represent a windfall for the fund, officials have made clear they would prefer to see the rightful winner come forward.90 and £16,601.50 respectively, according to Yorkshire Live. Those prizes have presumably been collected, making the unclaimed jackpot all the more conspicuous.

The Bexley jackpot is not the only unclaimed prize haunting lottery officials. According to Yahoo News Canada, three additional draws from 2025 had unclaimed prizes as of March 2026, including two EuroMillions wins and one other Lotto win. The pattern suggests that in-store ticket purchases, which lack the digital tracking of online accounts, remain a persistent vulnerability in the system.

The October 2025 period was a particularly lucky stretch for UK lottery players. According to South London News, a single ticketholder won £26 million in EuroMillions on October 3, 2025, just one day before the Bexley draw, and another player claimed £25 million on October 10, 2025. Those massive prizes were successfully claimed, underscoring just how unusual the Bexley situation has become.

With the April 2 deadline now imminent, the question looming over Bexley is a simple one: does someone in South East London have a forgotten lottery ticket worth more than £10.6 million sitting in a coat pocket or a kitchen drawer? The National Lottery phone line for prize claims and queries is 0333 234 5050. Time, however, is running out.
